This Medal is awarded annually to commemorate the contribution made by Dr. William Fenlon to the Faculty of Dentistry, RCSI and to the area of Child Dental Health.

The Medal is open to undergraduate students of the three dental schools in Ireland: Dublin Dental University Hospital, Cork University Dental School and Hospital; Royal School of Dentistry, Belfast and also to the University of Leeds School of Dentistry. The Medal will be awarded to the best essay on a topic related to Child Dental Health.
