Return to Face-to-Face Fellowship Examinations at the Faculty of Dentistry RCSI: September 1 & 2 2021

The Faculty of Dentistry is delighted to announce that it successfully completed a Face-to-Face diet of the Fellowship of the Faculty of Dentistry (FFD) examinations in the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland on September 1 & 2 2021.

The Fellowship Examination represents the pinnacle of success and achievement for dentists and marks the culmination of specialist and advanced training in selected fields of dentistry.

On this occasion, all candidates who attempted the examination were successful. The attached image shows the Faculty team for this examination diet.

Commenting on the event, RCSI CEO Professor Cathal Kelly said:
“Congratulations to the Faculty of Dentistry for their successful administration of a diet of their FFD examinations at the beginning of September. The Faculty of Dentistry has shown significant leadership and resilience during this time. We look forward to the further successful delivery of FFD examinations over the coming months as we look forward and beyond the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic”.

Founded in 1963, the Faculty of Dentistry, Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, is concerned with the pursuit of excellence in dentistry. Since March 2020, the Faculty has launched its Diploma in Primary Care Dentistry and MFD examinations in an online format. The Faculty has recently announced a diet of its Membership in General Dental Surgery (MGDS) examination will be held online in November 2021. Candidates who wish to attempt these Faculty examinations online and from the comfort of their location of choice, are very welcome. The Faculty also offers a significant CPD resource, which is available to Fellows, Members and Diplomates of the Faculty, and also to those who wish to join us as Affiliates.
