Intensive Course:
The Faculty of Dentistry RCSI is pleased to offer a 5-day Intensive MFD/CPD Course in Hamad Medical Corporation - Doha, Qatar, between Sunday, February 19th - Thursday, February 23rd, 2023.
This Intensive MFD/CPD Course will focus on the current concepts of modern dental practice. It will cover a range of material including restorative dentistry, prevention, implants, prosthodontics, periodontics, paediatric dentistry, orthodontics, endodontics, oral medicine and oral surgery. The team of lecturers are all specialists within their own areas of dentistry and are highly experienced in delivering information in a practical, comprehensive fashion.
This MFD/CPD Course will contain a combination of relevant lectures and Hands-On components providing a unique educational experience.
This intensive course provides a comprehensive review for those wishing to pursue the Royal College of Surgeons MFD examinations and it will be of great assistance to those candidates sitting the MFD Part 2 face-to-face examination taking place immediately following this intensive course.

The Faculty of Dentistry RCSI is delighted to announce a face-to-face MFD Part 2 examination will take place at Hamad Medical Corporation in Doha, Qatar on Friday February 24th, 2023.
MFD Part 2, Qatar - Exam Format
The MFD Part 2 exam to be held in Doha, Qatar will consist of 7 face to face OSCE Stations (written paper), followed by 1 structured Viva (structured and standardised discussion of the contents of 4 OSCEs).
Qualification
Successful candidates are awarded the prestigious internationally renowned qualification (Membership of the Faculty of Dentistry) from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.

FAQs - MFD Part 2 (Face to Face Exam)
The MFD Part 2 exam to be held face-to-face in Doha, Qatar will consist of a) 1 written paper which contain 7 OSCE Stations, and b) 1 structured Viva (structured and standardised discussion of the contents of 4 OSCEs).
The online MFD Part 2 exam consists of one 90 minute assessment and includes 15 OSCE/Clinical Scenario based questions, where you enter your response online. The contents of the traditional Viva have been incorporated into the extra questions within the online paper.
Yes, whether MFDRCSI is awarded online or face-to-face, the examination is of exactly the same and equal standing.
The online MFD Part 2 exam will continue for the foreseeable future and current online exam dates are available up to June 2023.
The face to face MFD Part 2 exam in Doha, Qatar is a standalone exam. Further MFD Part 2 exam sittings will continue to be held online.
