The Faculty of Dentistry RCSI will host a Post-Primary Careers Day event on Saturday, January 18th, 2020.

This event will offer secondary school students an opportunity to learn more about the science and art of dentistry. The Faculty of Dentistry has developed this innovative and exciting event in collaboration with University College Cork, Trinity College Dublin, and Queens University Belfast.

The Event

On the day, teachers from the four institutions will present information to prospective students on undergraduate and postgraduate dental training opportunities available to those who wish to pursue a career as a dentist. Students will have the opportunity to speak with senior academic staff, consultants and specialists from different sectors of the dental profession, as well as current undergraduate and post graduate students. Admissions teams will be on hand to explain the entry requirements for each course offered. Furthermore, those attending can also experience first-hand what it might be like to work in dentistry, with interactive stations and “come and try” sessions in a range of areas including digital dentistry, suturing and radiology.

This event is aimed at transition year students, along with 5th & 6th years. For those students interested in a career in dentistry, this event is not to be missed!
