The Faculty of Dentistry RCSI is delighted to announce the outcome of the recent board elections. The following candidates were elected:

- Dr Richeal Ní Ríordáin
Dr Grace Kelly
Dr Grace Kelly has been re-elected to the Board of the Faculty for a second time. Grace is a senior member of the Board with special responsibility for the MFD examinations. Grace qualified from Cork University Dental Hospital and was the first to complete specialist training in Special Care Dentistry in Wales in 2013. She was appointed to her consultant post in Special Care Dentistry in 2016. She is currently Lead for Special Care Dentistry and Sedation for undergraduate and postgraduate trainees in Cardiff University School of Dentistry. She is the past president of the Irish Society for Disability and Oral Health and the RCSI representative of the Specialist Advisory Committee for special care dentistry for the UK and Ireland.
Dr Richeal Ní Ríordáin
Dr Rícheal Ní Ríordáin is a newly-elected Board member. Rícheal is a Consultant/Senior Lecturer in Oral Medicine in Cork University Dental School and Hospital, Honorary Associate Professor of Oral Medicine in University College London Eastman Dental Institute and Health Education England’s Regional Academic and Research Advisor for London, Kent, Surrey and Sussex. She has worked as a clinician in both medicine and dentistry and her research interests include outcome measurement and educational research, with an MA in Higher Education and a PhD in Oral Medicine. Rícheal is a member of the Steering Committee of the World Workshop on Oral Medicine, Fellow's Representative on the Council of the British and Irish Society for Oral Medicine and Ireland and UK Regional Representative for the Association for Dental Education in Europe.
