RCSI conferred 725 healthcare professionals with postgraduate awards at a virtual conferring ceremony on Monday, 5 July.
The Faculty of Dentistry is hugely proud to have conferred 640 new Fellows, Members or Diplomates, the largest in the Faculty's history.
Commenting on the conferrings, Professor Albert Leung, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry RCSI said "As Dean, I was delighted to be able to confer 640 colleagues from around the globe. Many of our new Fellows, Members and Diplomates have had to overcome challenges this year to keep the progress of their career in dentistry on track. Their successes are to be congratulated and we really appreciate that they wish to be associated with RCSI".
The Faculty of Dentistry awards included 146 Diplomas in Primary Care Dentistry, 482 Memberships of the Faculty of Dentistry, 2 Intercollegiate Specialty Fellowships in Oral Medicine and 10 Fellowships of the Faculty of Dentistry (FFDRCSI) Ad Eundem.
The prestigious FFD RCSI Ad Eundems were awarded to Professor Suhad Al-Jundi, Professor Firas Al-Quran, Professor Zaid Baqain, Dr Andrew Edwards, Professor Padhraig Fleming, Professor Ahmad Hamdan, Professor Shadab Mohammad, Dr Norma O’Connor, Professor Alastair Sloan and Professor Christopher Tredwin.
