Conferring Ceremony held at RCSI
RCSI welcomed 519 healthcare professionals into its global community of Fellows and Members during a conferring ceremony held on Monday, December 9th at the College’s St Stephen’s Green campus.
The Faculty of Dentistry RCSI is hugely proud to have conferred 226 new Fellows, Members and Diplomates at the ceremony.
The Faculty of Dentistry awards included 78 Diplomas in Primary Care Dentistry, 144 Memberships of the Faculty of Dentistry, 3 Ad Eundem Fellowships and 1 Fellowship by Election.
The Ad Eundem Fellowships of the Faculty of Dentistry were awarded to:
- Professor Jennifer Gallagher, Newland-Pedley Professor of Oral Health Strategy, King’s College London and Vice President of the International Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research (IADR)
- Professor Christine Goodall, Dean of the Faculty of Dental Surgery, Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Glasgow
- Professor Grant McIntyre, Dean of the Faculty of Dental Surgery, Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh
The Fellowship by Election was awarded to Dr Angus Roche, Past President of the Irish Endodontic Society and LDS Graduate of the Faculty of Dentistry, RCSI.
Commenting on the Conferring, Professor Christopher Lynch, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry RCSI said "As Dean, I was delighted to be able to confer so many colleagues from around the globe. Your successes are to be congratulated and we really appreciate that you wish to be associated with RCSI".
